Social Standards

FIPP Handelsmarken is a member of the Business Social Compliance Initiative/BSCI.

Consistently sustainable economic activity is always at the forefront at FIPP Handelsmarken GmbH + Co. KG. In addition to economic and ecological factors, this requirement also includes the safeguarding of socially acceptable production. For this reason, FIPP is a member of the BSCI initiative.

BCSI is an initiative of retail businesses and import-oriented producers. The 484 members from mainly European countries accept a uniform code of conduct, which is based on the UN declaration of human rights, the basic working rights of the ILO and the UN conventions concerning children's rights and the abolition of any type of discrimination. Suppliers are audited by independent inspectors on the basis of the SAAS standard (Social Accountability Accreditation Services). Performing training during the correction phase should lead to a gradual improvement of the social standard of the companies.

BSCI was founded by the Foreign Trade Association, a special interest group for the foreign trade of European commerce and is a member of Global Compact.
